Regd UMS trick

Hi Everyone,

I just joined the community and wasn't aware of its existence before.
Feel a lot better after browsing thro various forums & gaining lots of knowledge about iriver products.

I read posts regd UMS trick. Just wanted to know that when you transfer the files to H10 20GB MTP 2.51 with this trick, how the music files are arranged i.e. are they still arranged according to artist/album/genre etc (as per the product specifications)? Or are they arranged according to folders in which I drop the music as though it is a manual function?

Thanks in advance for your support...

Once you've put the files on there, you have to update the database with a program called EasyH10. This will then show them under artist/album/genre, whereas otherwise they would only appear in the browser.

Thanks for the reply.

Now I think we can create folders in H10. So if I am not using easyh10 software (since I am quite new for this), I would be able to browse through all the files & folders in Explore section of the player.
Am I right in saying FOLDERS will be visible?
If yes, can I create folders inside folders?

Thanks & regards,
Purusa

I think that if you want folders within folders, when you drag and drop into WMP, you have to create those before you drag and drop them into WMP.

It appears to be that way for me..

I'm also kinda new at this Purusa..
