H10 - Warning message "Download is failed" when I try and do a Recovery
Please help! I have a brand new H10 20 Gb (Europe) and my problems started when I first connected it and got the "No device has been detected" message from Windows Media Player 10.
I thought I'd upgrade the firmware in an attempt to fix the problem. Using the Firmware Upgrader the download of the firmware got to 40% before the PC froze (Windows XP). I did Control/Alt/Delete, The H10 then said "System Files Missing - Use Recovery Tool". So then I tried to do the Recovery using the Firmware Upgrader. I did as as the guidance says at http://www.iriver.com/html/support/d...ew.asp?idx=736 but when I press Recovery at step 4 the download doesn't happen but I get the warning message "Download is failed". I've tried doing the Manual option for Recovery without success also because once I've clicked Open and found the zip file on my PC it doesn't give me a Next option to proceed further. Please help - this is so frustrating as I can't wait to use it! Many thanks in advance. |
