Talking Want more information for my H10

Greetings and Salutations everyone!

I just thought I'd join the forums seeing as I just bought an H10.

My old 40Gig Notmad Zen bricked, (and I tried to revive it quite a few times but it's already gone to the mp3 player spot in the great beyond..)... and I needed a new player..

After much research, I decided that a Trance Red 20Gig H10 would be my new choice.

It's not yet begun to ship, but, it'll ship probably tomorrow..

I'm so excited to be a proud iRiver owner.

Anyone got any recommended reading on my new iRiver (to customize it or update firmware the moment I get it?)?

Thanks!

X.

Hey, I would suggest reading around the site. Look up the UMS trick, there is a font customizer on here (about the only real mod for H20's), and dont use WMP. I would download EasyH10 from the Wiki, and update the firmware. Have fun with it as well.

I never planed on using that shoddy music client. .

I had plans to look for something else, thanks for the recommendation.

Yup.. I fully plan to update the Firmware the moment I take it out package and after I install everything that it needs to see the player on my puter.

Oh I will.. I had no idea how important music was in my ears until my old player bricked on me.

Thanks for the recommendation! ... Not sure what SRS WOW mode does, but I'll follow your advice.

WOW is a special combination of SRS audio technologies that creates a thrilling immersive sound experience with deep rich bass from mono or stereo sound sources. Your audio sounds fuller, richer and wider. Based on the elements of the flagship SRS 3D technology, WOW restores the spatial cues and ambient information that is lost during standard stereo playback. It includes TruBass, a patented bass enhancement technology that offers a dramatic improvement in bass tones that are often lost during compression or are unable to be delivered by small speakers.

I heard from someone in the chat room that theres no UMS Firmware update for the H10 Color editions....

This is sad.

I guess I'm just going to have to use Easy H10...

I'm just happy I'm getting another player..

easyh10 isnt a music client, it just updatest he database of the h10 so that you can transfer music in UMS mode, as music trasnfers a lot quicker that way.
