Angry UMS "System Files Missing" Error

I think I screwed (Explicit language deleted) up real good. I have a h10 5gb player that was in already in UMS. It was acting really weird it was displaying my music in Chinese but i had my language settings on English. Then when I went to go play it it wouldn't play the file. Me being me I decided to reformatt my h10 using Windows XP. I chose to do it the long way not quick format. So when I got to use easyH10 to rebuild the player, it says it couldn't find a H10 player on my computer. My computer does detect it as a h10 player though. It shows up and I can access it and what not. They are no files in it yet.

Can someone help me w/ this problem?

Yes, I am new to the forums so please don't bash.

Are you sure that you put the UMS firmware on there and did not accidentally put the MTP on there? If it is somehow in MTP, then EasyH10 would not be able to see it.

Have you formatted using the correct format? I know that the H300 and PMP range HAVE to be in Fat32 format to work but windows usually formats to NTFS.

I formatted it in Fat32. I am sure of it. I don't think I put the firmware on it though. So I just use Easy h10 to rebuild it and put the firmware in the system folder. Since I reformatted it there are no files on it at all. What do I do to rebuild it?

You need to reinstall the UMS firmware. Firmware file "H10.mi4" should be placed in \System directory, but you removed it as well because you formatted the player. The easiest way to recover from this situation is to use iriver plus. Alternatively, you might be able to use a standalone firmware tool or the firmware files themselves.

Information about iriver plus:
http://www.misticriver.net/wiki/index.php/Iriver_Plus

Firmware update tool for H10 5GB/6GB UMS 2.52 (a standalone firmware update tool; written in Japanese):
http://www.iriver.co.jp/support/down...hp?article=278

Direct link to the UMS 2.51 firmware files (you need to guess how to use it):
http://www.iriverplus.com/tools/UMS/...H10_KOR_UM.ZIP

EDIT:
Just read your last post. Can your player boot by itself with no files? Can you use the BROWSER mode to play some music? You need to take your player back to the normal state before using EasyH10. EasyH10 can't detect your player if the firmware file (H10.mi4) does not exist.

Use EasyH10 or PMPlib if you don't like iriver plus(1/2/3) and WMP.
