Question H10 speed of transfer and playlist compatibility when using explorer

Hello,

My H320 was stolen off a boat while sailing on the croation coast. Ya, poor me. Anyhow, I'm considering getting the H10 20 GB now, which is obviously the logical replacement. However, I have a couple concerns after using my brother-in-laws H10 5 GB.

1. Transfering files from WM10 to the H10 player took much longer than it should considering how long it took the H320 to drag and drop using the data connection. What is the deal, is file transfer slow on all H10s, or do you think I had a some kind of issue causing the slow transfer. The transfer speed was not even close to the USB 2.0 allowable speeds.

2. If you can use drag and drop with windows explorer, is that faster? If so, can you still use playlists on the player with all the songs you just drug and dropped?

3. Would you recomend any other player over the H10 20 GB. I don't care about features other than the player quickly transfer files over, genre playlists that work, and good sounding music.

By the way, I would play with my brother-in-laws H10 5GB to answer my 2 questions, but we live in different countries.

Thanks for the help,

Guy

1) Are you sure the computer you are using had USB 2.0?
2) Takes slower when in UMS Mode (do a search about it)
3) Not caring about features no

I'm pretty sure it was USB 2.0.

Ya, I saw that there might be a new product out soon. It if actually comes out in a month, I would guess it would take another couple months to actually get my hands on one. I'm not that impatient, but if the product is that good, then that just means I buy it also. Then my wife and both have an iriver, one better than the other.
