Transferring Music back to my PC????
I have a Iriver H10- 20 gig. It is a US version with the latest FW.

My external hard drive crashed and of course I lost everything.

My question is: If I put the player into UMS mode will I be able to transfer my music to a newly purchased external hard drive?

Any help appreciated.

my friend and i exchanged music. he had an external hd. i had problems transfering directly to the harddrive. everything just kinda froze up even when i did album at a time. so i transfered to my computer then to harddrive. it worked, but was pretty roundabout.

I feel alot better, I thought I was going to have to re-rip my whole collection. I was not looking forward to that.

I had the same problem. I just installed a new hard drive and started over. However I had most but not all backed up to an external drive. I need to move my collection from the H20 to WMP. How is that done? I did move files from the external drive but it seems like it would have been easier to move from h20 to media player. How is it copied?
