I was listening to it on the train and the H10 (20gig) just turned off by itself. I thought the batteries ran out but when I fully charged it, it still won't turn back on. When I press the power button i see dim flickering of light but thats it. HELP!!

i am, perhaps, having a similar problem with my h10...
it will play around 3 songs, then freeze 2 seconds into the next song. it wont turn off, so i have to use the reset button. wats up with it? should i send it off to get repaired coz seriously this is not something i can be bothered dealing with... could it be some other problem, such as firmware or something? please help. i'm going on a road trip in a week and i would love to hav it fixed for then so i can use it on the long long drive

Similar thing just started happening
Mine doesn't turn off randomly - but here's what is happening:
I'll charge my 20 gig. It will be fully charged. The next day, it will not turn on. There is a slight flicker of light in the screen - almost like it goes from dark black to a brownish black for 1/2 second - like it is trying to power on - but it wont. I reset it - and nothing! So I charge again and it takes a full charge. The problem is that I used to know I could get several days out of my unit - now I never know when it will be charged or not. Since I use this thing to exercise with - it is very frustrating to hop on the treadmill only to find out I have no music. Thoughts? This is a new phenomena on a player that is only 3 months old (my fifth H10 - my four previous players have had one problem or another and I've taken them all back to Best Buy to get them replaced). This happened to me and after a few hours of the same hour glass spinning I gave up and ended up reformatting and then putting the firmware back on. Since then no such problems and has been a little over a month ago since it has happened.

K, there is a warning when you're doing the database refresh given to you by the BD refresh program ur using. It says make sure the DAP has enough battery to complete thie refresh. Go to My Computer, format the drive, charge it, then re-install all the Firmware versions. Pretty sure this is the only way. |
