Connecting an H10 to a computer.

This time, I have just one thing that I want clarified. After the firmware update, to v.2.03 or whatever, how should I plug in my H10 to my computer in order for it to be detected and to be able to use WMP10 to sync files to my player? Is it supposed to work simply by just having it off, plugging it in, and then turning it on? If so, does that produce the screen where it says 'USB Connected' ? The reason I ask, is because if I just connect my H10 as I just explained, the computer does nothing, no detection. I'm going to a friend's house to see if the same problem occurs, and I wanted to know exactly what should happen if everything is in fact working. Thanks in advance.

The same way you plug it in before the firmware update, I should think. I do it by turning it on, then plug it. But plugging then turning on still works.

Okay, so I just tried it at a friend's house and it works just fine. Therefore what should I conclude about my computer at home? In order to make it detect the player I have to: remove the battery, then put it back on, then connect it to my computer (USB) and then hold in the o button on the player and then hold in the power until the UMS thing appears. Then, and only then does my computer detect the player, and furthermore, when I transfer files to the player that way, they only appear in the browser section on the player itself. What should I do?

That's the only way for me to get my H10 to be recognized by my machine, by reseating the battery.

to put songs into the player, do u have to use WMP or some type of software to sync it or can u just drag the mp3 files into the drive listed when u connect the mp3 player to the computer?
