Do you regret buying a H10 player?

I'm in the market for an MP3 player. I really like the looks fo the H10 and also the Creative Zen Micro. Problem is I read some disturbing reviews about each. I'm not sure if that is because people are more likely to post complaints or not.

So I'm curious, for all of you that own an iRiver H10, do you regret buying it?

Follow uyp question. My biggest gripe that I have read about eh Creative Zen is the "sleep" mode of the battery is only 24 hours. So basically, if yiou haven't used the Zen in 24 hours, it needs to be recharged.

I am the type who will not use the MP3 player everyday. When not in use, how long does the H10's (5-6 GB) battery last. If it sits unused for 3-4 days, will it need to be recharged again?

Well from my experience i think it lasts about a week? It doesn't drain as fast as the Creative Zen. I only use mine for about an hour a day and my battery is still 3-4 bars.

Was that one of the "refurbished" ones?

The Staples in my area has the h10 5gb on sale for $199. If I get it I am going there. They only have one color, the charcoal I think.

Dont regret buying it at all. Iv got the 5gig one and it fits in every pocket and i wouldnt know its there. I would have liked to get something bigger but the rest were a tad too bulky. Only thing that annoyed me was track order but thats been fixed.

I had excellent customer service from IRiver America with the H-10 that I purchased on EBay.
They do not respond fast to any E-mails....I had a drive problem on my EBay H-10 and they overnited me a new one when I explained I was leaving for vacation shortly.
They do stand behind their product.....just not fast responders.

I love my H10 and use it constantly. It tapes programs on the radio for me to listen to later. Its there to keep me entertained whilst walking the dog. I've even begun putting myself to sleep with it at night with relaxation mp3s!

I've had one or two niggles which I have got sorted out, and on balance I still think I picked the right player 3 months down the line.

Incidentally, I very nearly bought the Creative Zen Micro: in fact I asked for it in the shop and didn't buy it only because they were out of stock. When I spoke to the (non-commission) sales person, he told me that out of the mp3 players they sold, 90% were ipods and 10% were Creatives; however, 90% of the faulty returns were Creatives...

Ipods don't have radios, so I went for an Iriver, and I have absolutely no regrets.

"for the most part I am happy with it"? Yes. OH YES. I am so far past that happy line that the line is a dot to me.

Only thing is, it'd be nice to play videos. But when the U10 8Gb comes out....then it'll be......(crap can't think of a word. "gravy" "heaven"? No...I need an extreme happiness word. So extreme that it's past the line of happiness so that the line is a dot to me)

I only wish I would have waited for the 6 or 20 gig versions to come out

Perhaps something bad will happen to my H10 in the near future...

But still, the price would have been better for still the 5GB with the other one [or two] out

When you said Disturbing reviews, i read them too. i got my iRiver today. I Love it. It is, believe it or not, my first ever mp3 player. I assure you for me its the best. A bit too small a space for me (Europe didnt have the 20gb out yet?). But, the "not-user friendly" buttons, was NOT true. It is so easy to use, as easy as an Ipoop

Trust me, you wouldn't regret getting this. Oh, and by the way, it was my birthday a little over a week ago, and i had a (literally) last minute change of mind, and chucked an iRiver H10 into my "Winkelwagen" (Dutch for Shopping Basket :P). Trust me, i dont regret it, and you wont regret buying a H10. I really love the built in FM Radio, too. It is really a bonus for me, especially when i get bored with all the music (which doesnt happen too often )

Well, thats my point of view

I'm regretting now, only because iPods come with colour screen and 20gigs for just 100+ more? But of course, the H10 wins it in terms of music quality anytime

I don't regret it. The minor annoying bugs irritate the anal-retentive nerd in me, but overall I like it.
