H10 and Napster To Go
Hi everyone. I'm new here. I am having serious issues with the iRiver H10. I bought one about a week ago. I didn't have any problems with syncing the H10 with WMP/Napster but synced NTG music would not play. I got the following on-screen display:
"*stop* 00:00|00:00" For some reason it eventually started to work but then stopped playing NTG music about a day after it started to work. It played purchased music and non-licensed music fine. Eventually the thing wouldnt even sync anymore. So... I went and exchanged my old H10 for a new one. Same problem. Now I am getting errors in Napster and WMP saying "License storage is not working. Please contact Microsoft product support." How do I fix all of this? I am using a US H10 firmware version 1.00 MTP on a Windows XP Home SP1/SP2 WMP 10.0 machine. |

I had to buy a track on napster to go. Then i Downloaded to my H10 when that happened it synced everything and it all played. If you call Napster customer support the will credit your account. Atleast that is what they did for me. Also make sure your clock is the correct time. If you go in the Napster to go forums there is alot of information in there too.

My clock is set right. The only problem with the clock though is that it won't sync to the computer time. Not a big deal but a little annoying. I also tried that method where you buy one track and put it on there. It didn't work. No one on the Napster boards seems to have an answer for this.
My H10 started working earlier today. I used the MTP Recovery program, listed on iRiver's site, to format and restore the player. Then I went into Napster and transfered my NTG files. It's worked fine since. My first one worked for a little while before it quit playing the NTG files. We'll see if this one works for more than 2 days. Thanks for the reply though. |

Ok. Well so far everything is okay with the H10 now. Yesterday, Tuesday, I went to play it when I was in bed and again this message popped up:
" *Stop* 00:00|00:00 " This time I removed the battery while the unit was running. This solved the problem and the files are again playing alright. I really like the look of the H10, its contruction, and its menus but its starting to be somthing of a pain to me. I mean... I guess the "Plays For Sure" thing isn't to be taken to literally, eh? |

Im not having any problems with wmp10 or ntg. A few days after I bought the h10, I did have a song play and the title was wrong acouple times. And I had a few titles that didnt show up on albums. After doing a few battery removes and refresh data base and stuff, ( had to do it a few times) things started clearing up lol and worked straight. I am using my own fix for the album order and the bass bug i adjust with srs. The thing I do notice is that srs, the volume, and screen really does vary battery life. Im getting a cradle, exrta battery and case and I'll be set. I would not trade my h10 for any other mini as it fits my needs perfectly. I think the sound is great and looks great. I am one of the crazy ones that believes there will be a firmware fix for us model. I hope my faith in iRiver will be rewarded lol
