UMS for iFP anyone?!

Latest news from iRiver Nordic is claiming it will be released mid July. We'll see if Nordic knows what it's talking about or not.

Until July I guess......... for all you iFP owners.

In which sense are you referring to..??

UMS firmware is available, for iFP-1xx & 3xx units, but the most recent examples of extended codec support ones have been manager-access ones.

UMS firmware alternatives to the existing late manager-only, is one possibility to what you may be talking of .. or that of the first UMS firmware support for post 3xx model players..

Dunno which you mean.. so it might be better to comment to clear up the opening topic a bit..

2004 06 09: UMS Firmware for iFP-700, 800, 1000
There have been some rumours on the net that the UMS Firmware for the new flashbased players will not be availible.

This is not true!

The UMS Firmware for iFP-700, iFP-800 and iFP-1000 series will be released in the middle of July.
Take it however it sounds to you.

I think the issue relates to UMS ogg support and or the full ogg range support, not sure.
