How do you tell wheather you are MTP or UMS?
I can't get the H10 running firmware v.2.53e to be recognised in My Computer although it does appear in the device manager and as a USB Mass Storage Device. I have tried all the tricks listed to no avail. didn't receive an installation disk (second hand or more) and can't seem to find the correct drivers for windows XP off the iriver site......Help!

Cheers...my problem seems to be that the player is not recognised by windows. It is not assigned a drive letter in My Computer even though it is recognised as an Iriver USB device. At the moment it is nothing more than a paperweight.

When you say "it is nothing more than a paperweight" do you mean it doesn't work at all, or just that it can't connect to the computer to have music put on it and since it doesn't have anything on it that it isn't usable?
