H-series Firmware Release History

Can someone remember how the firmware release history has been for H-series since the release of the first iRiver Hxxx-player.

- How has the release frequency of firmware been?

- Did the releases contain new features or bug fixes?

A short summary of the releases with the approximate release date would be really informative...


I couldn't find a "history" thread by using the search function... maybe it already exists.

the H series is kinda new. they didnt ahve much firmware at all. the ihp series, however, had some amount of frimwares. they should bring back the ihp series...

frequencey=i dont thy follow a patern, its pretty much whnever they have sumthin new, whenever that may be.

new feature and bug fixes= isnt that wut new firmware is

if u chech iriver.com internatiional, it does show when they were out and stuff...

I never really thought about checking out the H100 firmware releases to check for undocumented features in the H140 manual. I actually found something I did not know about usage of the textviewer (toggle between "play mode" and "text view" when TEXT icon is on).
Well, it does say some about it in the manual, but not as clear.

Maybe I should just read the manual

Thats not too bad going considering they are a company that never does any firmware updates.

the "ihp" has changed to the "H", i like the "ihp" better cus my player says ihp not H. if iriver is leting ppl exchange their player for one that says H on it(with teh new iriver logo too) then i would apriciate the new changes. i not, then the changes makes thing less organized
