iRiver H3xx Firmware Links

******EDIT Link updated. Should work now!!!

Here is a link to an iRiver page that has all the available firmware for the H3xx players.

http://www.iriver.com/html/support/d...pSearchString=

This link should be more permanent as it is a search for all the H3xx firmware. Fingers crossed.

If you follow the link to the version you want you get to choose which region.

Links include

1.25 EU
1.25 K
1.25 JP

1.20 EU

1.06 EU

1.04 EU

1.20 K, the best in my opinion, isnt on that page but is here

(Thanks Kevin)

The only link to U.S. firmware is to a version that is unofficial. While some have used it others wont take firmware from anywhere but iRiver for obvious reasons. There has been no official release of U.S. firmware, but if you are interested its here

I think the Japanese firmware has no radio region, but has by default the wider band.

hmmm, i think unhban has collected some really nice resources there. found that site when i was looking around for iriver pics and saw his photos of the inside of the h340 he opened for the rockbox guys.

but i only source firmware from the iriver site. i would also be very reluctant to share it. if i gave you some firmware and it bricked your player you would have to just take it, but it would be understandable if you blamed me and i would blame myself.

the 1.25 link has worked for a while now, maybe it indicates that iriver have realised the problem with that firmware and have another in the offing?

have just checked and all those links except 1.20k are dead!!!

fingers crossed.

wrong.

1.20 k link works and has dots.

the dots are only in the link name, not the link itself.

1.25 k link worked when i first looked at this post, iriver seem to have taken it down, maybe they are now aware of the battery life problem. if so, hopefully they are working to fix it.

All of the original links, besides 1.20K, are not currently working on my computer either. I think they did when Azesty first posted them.
The dots are present on the screen and what its linked to.

This link should go to the iRiver page where all firmware, manuals, etc. can be searched. That way everything is up to date, if they were to actually add firmware

I'm not sure why people seem to be finding the new iRiver.com site so hard to use

The following link should display all the H3xx related files, including v1.25, v1.20, v1.06 and v1.04 firmwares... and as far as I can see, all are still available for download

Linkage: http://www.iriver.com/html/support/download/sudw_list.asp?search ProductIdx=42&search CategoryIdx=&searchS tring=&page=1&idx=&t mpSearchProductIdx=4 2&tmpSearchCategoryI dx=&tmpSearchString=

I noticed that between my edits you posted the same link!! Although my link only has the firmware and not the manuals.

But there is no link to my preferred firmware, 1.20 k. I think the link you provided in a list of links some time ago may still work but cant find your original post with 4 fimrware links Odie, can you find it?

Note: I've tried downloading this file from different locations/computers, and sometimes a comma will be added to the filename. ?? I have no idea why it happens, but all you have to do is delete it, then the file can be unzipped.

Is there any reason why you think 1.20 is better than 1.25
Can someone list the differences between the two?

Also, what will be deleted when I do a firmware upgrade?

Thanks.

1.25 has a battery life problem it takes about 4 hours off the life of a full charge.

It has ff and rw.

The only thing changed when upgrading is the firmware. Everything else remains the same. Well all the settings go back to defualt, no radio presets, usb charging is set to on.
