Question
hi. is there any way that i can play my iriver h320 videos through a tv and if so how is this possible? also will the quality be any good cos to c the movie on the player it needs to be 220x176 pixels!!! thnx

I have version 1.02 on my 320 (bought on January 5th 2005),which I believe is out of date (the battery keeps running down too quickly). But whenever I access the Iriver Main Website there is a message saying all new machines were sold with the latest firmware. As I bought the machine in the US, although I live in the UK I suppose I'm obliged to update with the US firmware?

So from what I see on the Iriver site, you cant get the video firmware for Irivers bought in North America? How did all of you do it?

Please use the search tool provided!

US H3xx players can be flashed with international firmware, even though iRiver says otherwise. However, it might void your warranty and you will lose the clock and DRM support for good.

So If I were to put this on a 320 purchased in NA, I would lose the clock and DRM support (what is that?) for good. If I were to get rid of the firmware (if thats even possible) would I get the clock back, or no?

Hi
I just bought a H320. Its got the firmware version 1.07 or something on it. It's the European version. I want to upgrade the firmware but ive read there will be a lot of restrictions if i do so. Can anyone help me? Should I upgrade the firmware or leave it as it is? I dont want to lose any functions.

As long as you do not have the US model, you are fine to upgrade to the latest version, 1.28. The only 'restriction' is that the European release has a lower volume cap than the others due to French regulations. If you prefer, you can use the Korean release just as well.

I hadn't used my H320 in awhile and I noticed when I was charging it now that instead of staying on the charging screen it goes blank and then an iriver splash screen comes on then blank again and back to charging screen i think and keeps repeating. I thought this was strange but seemed to still be charging.

But now when I try to turn it on, it says ver. 1.28k start like normal boot up but then just goes blank!

what can I do? help

I think your battery is cooked. I had a similar thing. Replaced the battery, and the world is a better place.

Latest firmware is 1.29 (ignoring the mystery 1.30 that is). It adds a video menu/mode thing instead of playing video through music mode, and fixes the shuffle bug. If you want to download the European version (1.29e) however, be careful you don't get 1.30, as iriver have changed the link on the 1.29e download to 1.30e.





Random Rockbox plug ... You could however say that the latest firmware is the Rockbox Bleeding-Edge build from six hours ago .

You can't actually get it from the iriver website anymore because they replaced it with the stupid 1.30e (which you really don't want to get), but I mirror 1.29e on my website here.

Hmm... I don't know Korean of course, but after some tries I made, it seems that they removed 1.29 from iriver.kr probably due to 1.31 release.

What is the best firmware for the H320 atm?
Im currently using K1.31 but there are a few bugs like with the sleep timer and some song tags. What firmware would you guys recommend?
