No idea how to load albums/songs

hi
i would appreciate any help I am finding this E10 very user unfriendly
I am trying to load albums have tried iriver 3 but all the songs just end up in alphabetical order i cannot seem to work out how to get it into folders and I want to name the folders so I can see what is playing tried using windows explorer it appears to load but cannot hear the music
I have a H340 and H10 both are really easy to transfer files using windows explorer but this is driving me crazy
can someone please explain in detail step by step as reading the book does not help
thanks

Load albums? I'm assuming you mean that you put a CD in and then want to transfer those songs to the e10. I haven't tried this before, so I'm not sure if it will work, but here goes:

1) Put the CD in.
2) Wait until it loads. Click the songs that you want to transfer.
3) Make sure that the songs are all named properly etc.
4) Connect your e10 to the computer.
5) Click the big red arrow in the middle of the screen.
6) The songs should be loaded.

That should get the music onto the e10. If you want to find them by album, you can:
1) Disconnect from the computer and turn on your e10.
2) Scroll to "Music" and then "Albums"
3) Find your album and press play.

Or, if you want to make playlists (is this what you mean by folders?)
1) In iriverplus3 with the e10 connected to the computer, find the menu on the bottom left area.
2) Double click "New Playlist".
3) Name the playlist.
4) Drag and drop songs from "All Music" into the new playlist.
5) Drag the songs around however you want.

I think that the issue you're having is that you're trying to rearrange the songs before the songs have been extracted from the CD. After they've been moved to the mp3 player, it should let you choose how to arrange them.

I hope that this fixes your problem, if not, post here again, and I'll do my best to think of another solution.

Hi asiandavid thanks for response

ok I have a backup file on my hard drive of all my music they are in folders named after album or artist eg fleetwoodmac they are already sorted into how i want them to play when i connect my H340 or H10 i just copy and paste
what i want to do is copy or drag some of these folders onto my E10 I have tried using windows it tells me they are on the E10 but i cant hear them
tried using iriver 3 and they end up all mixed and all over the place
the reason i bought an E10 is i am about to travel to Africa and wanted to take smaller mp3 and if it gets lost or stolen will not break my heart as would if I lost my H340 I did not realise how difficult loading it would be compared to the others
thanks again

There is another way, we'll see if this works.

1) Connect your e10 to the computer.
2) Open the root file of the e10 in Windows Explorer.
3) Drag and drop the backup files of your music and put them into the "Music" folder on the e10.
4) Open iriverplus3.
5) In the Tools menu, click "Device Settings" (I think it was called that) and "Database Update". Click Start.
6) Safely remove your e10 when it's done and see whether the files have been added.

Hi again

All folders sorted before pasting once loaded to E10 the music from all the folders mixed up instead of in separate folders I dont have a prob if in alpha order so long as they are in the correct folder

slowly driving me crazy am beginning to wish i had never bought this player

Try this:

1) Connect the e10 to the computer.
2) Open iriverplus3.
3) In the bottom half, does it have all the music listed?
4) If so, double click "New Playlist" and give it a name. Then, drag and drop all your songs from the "All Music" section (In the bottom half of the screen), into it, and in your desired order.
5) Safely remove the e10.
