Hi!
Now I will begin with our (me & >blaq.e10<) theme. My goal for now is to make the basics, change color, BG and other basic stuff. Later I will try getting some real graphic from the actual phone (or drawings / something that looks like the real thing) so it looks complete. This may be my last project, as I might buy a new MP3 soon. Font used: PF Tempesta Seven Font | dafont.com Status: Basics. Nothing to release yet. Needs: For now, I would need some basic interface parts, such as BG, the layout in 'now playing' screen and other things from the GUI, and the font, if you know what font they use. If you have them, please post UPDATE: How should the arrows look like? I think I'll remove the arrows, but I'm not sure. What do you think? A picture of the GUI, I meant (in German, but well...): ![]() Not the real GUI, but looks very nice: 3.0.jpg Other pics from GUI: Photos for : Hands-on with Sony Ericsson W890 (Phone Arena) If you have suggestions, such as font change, which pictures I should use etc., please write something. This way, I hope to make the best theme up-to-date. //ToJa92 and >blaq.e10< Last edited by toja92 : March 24th, 2008 at 04:00 AM. |

I think that there should be a plain font and special font file, because often when you use a different font, the whole theme lags when scrolling. Also, try using this as inspiration, it's a really nice one that I found the other day. the next simplicity_ iriver
This one was by the same user, but not as good: the next simplicity_ iriver I like the general menu, and the little spinning thing, and the fact that everything important is placed where it can be seen. I'm pretty sure that it had full screen album art as well. And if you can figure out how to put stars on the Now Playing screen, please tell me, I've been trying to find this out for a while now.

Yep, I'm in
Yeah I'm still in.
I'm currently using the advanced theme as I like the now playing screen. Asiandavid I decompiled a theme containing the rating stars that appear on the now playing screen and just exported the now playing scene as a .fla. I uploaded it Here (Its flash 8 format)

The stars get some vars from somewhere else, I think. I haven't tried it, but I think you have to program the stars yourself. I'll look into it when I have time. Cooool theme! (the "advanced" theme) it looks very good.

Woah! Cool BG's, I think this is going to be a very good theme. Should the BG's come in random order, monday, the dark text, tuesday, the white text and so on?

I'll look into it. In worst case, I let it be a 'multi-line' textfield. |

It's time for UPDATE: Oh well, so I say this straight out. I haven't barely worked with the theme, first, it would be easier if I had the BG's (which >blaq.e10< is making soon), and if I didn't have so much to do in school We get summer break in seven weeks, so after that I could finish the theme. Thanks for your understanding & patience. //ToJa92 UPDATE: Recieved the BG's from >blaq.e10< and will make the theme.. er.. soon.. Last edited by toja92 : June 14th, 2008 at 08:00 AM. |

Here is a beta/preview version to see how it might look - I don't have my E10 at the moment, so if some people test it, see:
1) Does it work? Might make your E10 unusable, use the reset hole which reboots E10 with the default theme and data intact... 2) How does it look(if it works)? Any suggestions? Everything isn't done, but the parts that seem done, please give suggestions 3) Two things: volume might look f**ked up, I will try to do a more volume like thingy, not just a number. about thing, goto settings->advanced->about and see what it says. Download link: Walkman_E10_beta.swf Everything isn't done, and this theme isn't supposed to be your "main" theme yet... Please, if you download it, leave feedback. NOTE: >blaq.e10<, nice job with those BG's. To others, if one says it's not working, then ten other people don't have to say "it's not working", since atleast I would consider that pretty spammy. Happy e10'ing! EDIT: One screenshot(imagine without textbox thingys): ![]() |

1) IT WORKS!!!! 2) It looks very unique and much more like how the original E10 theme should have looked like. Might be a favourite with alot of people but who knows. The Tuesday background display image is very non-contrasty with the colours making the text very hard to read, ditto with the rest of the days to Friday. So basically the only days where it is readable is Sunday (just), Monday, Saturday. 3) Of course being a complicated theme, the user interface is a bit slower, but the equaliser (showing which one is on when playing) and the battery indicator and the shuffle mode are all flipped and put on the left side instead of the right. So basically, instead of reading CustomEQ, it reads QEmotsuC (can't type mirror letters) but with the letters written backwards. The current selected object e.g. in the main menu - FM Radio is tinted blue to indicate which one is selected but there is an uneven gap between the top and bottom selections with the top being overlapped by the blue tinted object and a massive gap to the next object below. So basically, "FM Radio" half covers "Extras" and has a massive gap to "Now Playing". The actual CustomEQ has the same bars and all but the numbers for the frquency (50, 200, 1K, 3K, 14K) are all smooshed together quite tightly but is still alright as you won't be seeing it all the time. The SRS WOW part is much better though, the numbers for TruBass and SRS look like a digital watch with the bars for each part of the number. But here is the big problem, with pictures, the ones that I already had on the E10 prior to the theme update, were displayed normally. But now with the Walkman theme, I can no longer display ANY photo at all. Not even putting on new images helps. The message I get when attempting to display an image is: ".This file format is not supported" Another area where the E10 has a little problem with the new theme is the text file part. I still have the original "HowTo" readme on the E10 and with the new theme, the text is displayed but some parts are cut off on the right hand side, like the screen isn't big enough. And the artist title is still not moving and leaving only the first name or artist being shown. But this hopefully can be fixed. The play count is fine as so is the song length. Ditto the song title. Hold switch is fine. Vid |
