E10 problem - Emergency USB v1.40

Hi all,

I hope someone on this forum will be able to help me with my E10 problem.

It stopped working today, and when I turn it on I get a black screen saying "emergency USB v1.40"

I tried upgrading the firmware, but iriver plus 3 tells me the network connection failed. I tried formatting the disk using windows, but although the computer can detect the player, it wont format the disk or allow me to browse through folder contents.

I just learned that the vendor I bought the irivier from (Buy.com) five months ago wont take it back, and from what i can gather, iriver America has been refusing to take responsibility for E10s.

If someone has any advice, Id really appreciate it

Thanks

This exact problem happened to me, except for the fact that I live in Australia and was able to go into the city to get it repaired.
Now to solve your problem, your more than likely going to have to send it overseas to get it repaired, e.g. Europe, Australia or some where where you can go buy E10's in store.

That's all I got, hope it helps!

You probably don't have to physically go to the country, but can probably send it down to get it repaired and then sent back.

yeh i've had that done twice, i think its something to do with the hard disk being damaged or the connection to it, my first was under warranty, im in oz so i sent it to the people who fix it in melbourne, second time i wasn't so lucky, got a new one.
