e10 HDD upgrade how-to comming soon
hi there all

ok myself and a friend are about to upgrade his e10's hdd (his idea) so i thought i would write up a how-to on upgrading it as he wants to get more space on it (like 6GB ain't enough). so when we have successfully up graded the drive ( ie not bricking it) ill post the how-to here for all to read.

i have about 3gigs left and i have no want, need or intention of upgrading the space. if it wont fit i don't need it. but my friend is a mad hardware hacker ( if he buggers it up its not my fault, as they say; if it ain't broke, don't fix it)

A hard drive upgrade would be great for me, I constantly run out of space unfortunately. 10-16 GB would be perfect.

ok well just an update on the hdd upgrade:

the white flag went up last night after 7 attempts and no joy we have given up hell on one attempt my mate let the magic smoke out of the hdd

I'm about to (try to) replace my E10's 6gb MicroDrive with a 16gb CF Card next week...

@OzGeek: Did you disassemble it?
If so, could you tell me how to remove the little ir cover plate on the top?? My E10 has opened itself on the top a bit (i think the little things that keep together the E10 on the top is broken., so I need to fix it...)

No sorry wasnt me will ask my mate how he dismantled it as i came in on the "nude" e10 . he has since got an ipod touch still a bbq and a few beers and as we aussies say "she'll be right"

I would like to know aswell how you change HDD.. If its some kind of standard connection... nevermind just read its a ZIF connector.. I'll see if I can get hold on a bigger drive.
