E10 review and video encoding solution

I just posted a review of my new E10 on my site, OSNews.com.
http://osnews.com/story.php/17860/Re...le-iRiver-E10/
In it, I also provide an easier/stabler solution for video encoding than iRiverTer/Badak.

Great review, it is an excellent player. One thing that you have gotten wrong, is that you say that it "never really turns off". It actually does, however this may take up to 30 hours. After this, it shuts down and when started up, it will display the little e10 animation. In your opinion, is it better, equal or worse than an ipod?

PS. Thanks for linking to one of my threads! I feel special!

Oh, of coz iriver is better. Just the reset button is already better than Ipod, if our e10 freeze, just poke the reset button, whereas the iPod have to take it to the customer services. Ha!! Just some waste of time

Compared to my husband's iPod Nano and especially the iPod Video, it is not a better device for a number of reasons that have to do with usability details and quirks (e.g. when you re-enter a music menu, the iPod remembers exactly at which point you were browsing and so the song list does not start from the beginning again). But compared to my own iPod, the iPod Mini, the E10 is better overall.

BTW, did anyone try my MediaCoder preset to encode videos for the E10 and save a lot of space compared to the suggested format that iRiver recommends?
