Hi

Firstly I'm no flash developer but I think if we have a single thread for themes it will make it easier for us to track any developments. I'll see if Febs wants to make this thread a sticky.

grab the flash file from

http://club.iriver.co.kr/c_board_det...pe=&id x=5144

Post any themes that you might make and want to share with fellow E10 enthusiasts

Cheers

Hi

Ok, I've finished my first theme. It's in honour of my favorite TV show. Red Dwarf. I've included the most suitable wallpaper images from www.reddwarf.co.uk in this theme. Bearing in mind this is my first theme go easy on me but do leave feedback if you download and like Grab the theme here

http://users.tpg.com.au/rjeeves/reddwarfe10.zip

Once you have downloaded the Zip file extract the .swf file and place in the Themes Folder on your iriver E10. Choose the theme Red Dwarf from the list of themes on your Device and (hopefully) enjoy

Cheers

Well, testing some more. Can you tell I'm not a designer?
This time I focused on readability, that said; most of the backgrounds don't work very well, probably going to change those later.

Anyways, it's called texturish and you can find it here:
http://www.nesse.net/blog/?p=84

(btw: I suddenly felt like making a MST3K theme... rent the movie Road House and buy the commentary track at rifftrax. It's not MST3k, but has potential!)

Hey snookums. I am playing with themes and notice if I change the font the invisible border that cuts scrolling text off disappears and the new text scrolls to the edge of the screen. It looks a bit weird, it scrolls under the left arrow icon and looks bad. Do you have any ideas why that happens?

Maybe the mask movieclip in the layer "mask" got deleted or moved? The layer is locked. Thing is this mask isn't correctly made to work as a flash mask, but this might be something special with Flash Lite. I'll try an check more later.

Does anyone know of anywhere that it's possible to get e10 themes apart from the few listed here? These look great, but it seems that finding any more themes anywhere else is next to impossible. Is it just because it's a relatively new player that no one is devleloping anything yet? Got a few from the iRIver Korea site too, but it's pretty hard to work out what's on there in amongst all that Korean!!

Also, I was wondering if it might be possible to change the 'Now Playing' screen to have more info by editing the swf? Like, for example, the 'Now Playing' screen, alas, doesn't display track numbers. Is this simply a product of the theme being used? Thinking about it, I guess it's probably inherent in the firmware, but just wondering if anyone knew for sure? Would like to find a way to get more info on the 'Now Playing' screen, which is of course noticeably spartan...

hi mate. I think you are right, the player is so new there just aren't that many sold when compared to U10 or H Series player etc. I know what you mean about the korean iriver site, hard work filtering out the non theme stuff.

Why don't you download a demo of Flash 8, choose the Pro Demo and have a go customizing the sample theme. It doesn't look easy, I hada play and changed the backgrounds (my red dwarf theme). You can also change the font used, left jusify, reduce size to get more text on the screen (think you need to 'Embed' the font for that to work)

The only way people will develop themes is to have a go themeselves I guess. As for more info on the Now playing, that sounds great. Absolutly no idea how to do that though. Not sure if it's a case of adding a flash object or weather the firmware has to present that info in some way. We really need an experinaced Flash Developer with experinace with Embedded flash design. Anyone?

Nany has updated his theme (from Korean iriver site) It's pretty sic

new e10 theme:

My tool theme.
Backstory: tool is without a doubt my most favourite band, and they're finally coming to australia next year. I was bored of the default girly theme and made my theme, based on tool images as well as alex gray's art.

You can get it here:
http://ericistkrieg.com/downloads/E10_Tool.swf

Right click and save as

This is my first theme and I had to use the korean site, so if there's bugs or whatever, please inform me, aeryxz @ hot mail dot com...

Also, don't ever publish your fla file into flash 8 format. It crashes your e 10

There are almost no themes around at the moment. We've all had the same problem. The few that are around are listed here, and the Korean ones do work in English, but again, there aren't many on the Korean iRiver site either. Nany is one of the more popular Korean ones. Personally, I'd love to see someone developing some in earnest and sharing with the world, but I think being a new player, and especially not being available in the States, there's just not enough people using it yet.

Not really a theme, but here are some wallpapers I made for my E10. I prefer simple designs and the shapes fit the placement of text with the E10's default theme.

If somebody knows flash and is willing to make a proper theme they are more than willing to. I can send the PSD files.
