Well, nice

Size is good for the emense of features! I guess it has everthing a H320 brings with exept the 20 GB, line in and line out.

Well done, iriver. the screen looks quite pixi ...

Looks like a nice design, but why on earth didn't they use flash instead of a hard drive?

1. They wanted to make sure it's thicker than the Ipod
2. Perhaps to leave an option for a larger hard drive?

It's a bit early in the AM for me, but did I couldn't quite tell if that was sarcasm, a backhanded compliment, or serious...

I like the matte black finish of the casing, but the rest is just a bit sad. Is TV so great in S. Korea that one would see the addition of the remote **aherm** feature as a good thing...? Especially given the sacrifice of HD space, line-in/out, etc...?

By the look of the 4 button navigation and features, its a U10 with a Hard Drive rather than flash memory.

Nah, iriver should concentrate on clix, d-click is a great idea well implemented. This just looks like a fat nano , i would rather have a Iaudio 6.
I think the 20gb H10 has seriously f@cked Iriver , it is too big and is a step back from the h320.
Give me a 8gb Clix and i will be happier (as i am very happy with my 2gb u10 as it is)

Nah, the U10 screen is nice.... this one isn't. I would have liked to see a larger capacity U10 instead even if it meant mini drive and bigger.

1. No album art
2. Screen Pixilated - no, just the photo
3. Cheap build quality - no, actually it's probably the best feeling, best built player since the H100 Series, very tight, well made
4. Matte Finish - excellent choice of finish and materials, does not scratch
5. Remote Function - gimmicky but useful nonetheless. I had fun with it at work last night in the breakroom as well
6. Hard Drive vs. Flash - instantly larger capacity without high cost. I'll take this over the Nano any day of the week. (Nano is for sale by the way with a few scratches, pm if interested)
7. iAudio 6 vs. E10 - not even close in my opinion. I played with the iAudio 6 at CES, the screen is simply too tiny to be useful, especially for any video viewing, no ID3 tag support although they may have implemented that by now.
8. clix vs. E10 - I too would love to have a larger capacity clix but for now it's what we have

I was about to say: even just from the photos, it looks very solidly built. Sturdy, if you will.

The plastic material looks really cheap, it might be sturdy...but so is my regualr TV remote. It would just seem like in a new +?$200 DAP it would look more...."nice"?

As I said before, it's just a slightly enhanced H10 from the looks of it. I'm still hanging on for a larger capacity U10 which is what they should really concentrate on since that's what consumers will more likely go for. Big, fat screen grabs the customers attention more then anything else imo.

Hi,

I have a few questions and I would be grateful if you have the answers:

1)Where can I buy this player?
2)is it only on sale in Korea (I will be going there this summer)
3)can I easily replace the battery if it dies?
4)is there english menu support?
5)does it support utf-8
6)is the video features in this player the same as the video features on the u10/clix?

sorry for the amount of questions, but I would like to know more about the player before I buy it. I made the mistake of buying the Sansa e250 without researching and ended up with a player with no UTF-8 support therefore all my Korean songs are have boxes instead of text.

I should have stuck to iRiver. ^_^;

thanks in advance

We got our first delivery of the new E10 yesterday to Scandinavia. Our shops should have it for sale starting early next week.

If you like you can buy it from us directly, if that's of interest please send me an email and I'll give you details on how to order - cameron@irivernordic .com

Those picks show it's almost the same size as the Nano except for depth so it must be tiny but what about UMS support???

Someone must know.

Not in the UI front it's not. The UI is a leap forward over the H300.

The H300 is overrated, give me a H10 6GB any day.

The H300 is overrated? It's widely regarded as one of the best daps to ever be created, and not just at MR. Combined with RockBox, it sure as hell kicks the crap out of any iPod or other dap. I do agree that the H10 UI is more natural then the H300's complex UI, but there is no way that the H300 can realistically be considered a pushover of any sort.
