As I already posted here (HD Upgrades for H1xx and H3xx Series DAPs) there are some new players -- namely IPods and Samsungs -- that might have iRiver H series compatible HDs. Any contribution on this would be much appreciated, as I desperatly need to upgrade my music storage capacity...

The general concensus is that they work but only if you can construct your own tosh 1.8" ide to ZIF cable/adapter or wait for somone else to make an of the shelf solution.
Electricly they both use the IDE standard. I'd love to use one of the new sammy spinpoint N2 drives! |

But we dont know anyone who has constructed one that fits inside yet. Get yersel' an ipod m8.

I would have already, if Apple hadn't just resorted to firmware encryption on the latest generation (6th) of their wares, thus converting them into overpriced pieces of designer crap... That IPod 160GB RockBoxed would've been a godsend, otherwise. |
