2200mAh Battery Measurements. H100/H300

Hi Guys,

I've noticed a lot of people have been asking about the size of 2200mAh batteries vs the stock. Although i don't have any ~1700mAh batts to measure, i do have stock, Cameron Sino 2200mAh and a Newertech 2200mAh.

Here are the results (measured with vernier calipers):

Stock Battery (1300mAh)

length: 85.7mm
Width: 52.6mm
depth: 3.6mm

Cameron Sino Battery (2200mAh)

length: 85.5mm
Width: 54.9mm
depth: 4.4mm

Newertech? battery (2200mAh)

length: 86.4mm
Width: 55.2mm
depth: 4.2mm

I have some pictures of the three batteries here:

I thought your newertech was 10 cm depth

Good idea for a thread though

I'd measure my battery for you but I'm afraid I can't be bothered opening my player

Still, as saints says, an interesting enough premise.

Well, as I argued in an earlier thread, variations in battery size probably explain why modifications may be necessary to squeeze them in.

A battery I bought rated at 1450 mAh (but sold as a 1600 mAh battery) was a full millimetre narrower than my stock battery.

Too bad I didn't measure the two 2200 mAh batteries I bought that ballooned... I wish I'd sanded down those tabs/flanges from the beginning.

Speak for yourself - my 2200mAh required no 'squeezing' nor did I have to modify the case in any way to get it in.

Step, I am not arguing that everyone will have the same experience as me. My whole point was that if battery sizes differ, some people are going to have an easier time fitting their battery in than others.

In contrast, in the last thread where you talked about this, you basically implied that anyone who had to fiddle to fit their battery in must be an idiot, because YOU didn't have any problems. Do you see the problem with that argument?

And I would count Saint's trimming the foil as a mod, too. You wanna try using the search function to find out how many people have made _some_ sort of mod, from Denny on down?

I just want to add the Cameron Sino needs no alterations, and dont be upset with step he would start an argument in an empty house

This might surprise you but I can.
Then again, you don't seem to be able to differentiate between describing someone as 'not particularly technically able' and calling them an idiot, so you wouldn't understand.

If you're gonna criticise me, at least take the time and get your facts straight.
And, if you can't be arsed even reading other people's posts properly, well then you're not worth the hassle of trying to reason with.

So, in the words of BBD, '...in a move long overdue, once more to the ignore list my friend.'
Cya.

But it's so much more fun when there are 'not particularly technically able' people to argue with
