Types of Paint Used and Colors (Exact Names)

I have an iHP-140 with peeling paint, I want to repaint it, preferably with a Ferrari F1 theme. I am interested in exactly what kind of paints people used; brush applied vs. sprays, brands and exact names of colors. Also I was wondering if anyone has used a combination of decals and paint because I am no artist and don't want to fuck up the prancing horse. Does anyone know which types of clear coats will be both durable and not damage a decal? Has anyone tried to fill in the iriver on the front of the player? As proud as I am to own an iriver, I would rather it say Ferrari. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
