Yea, I got a new battery from newertech. It was 2200 mah. I went to a local store called batteries plus. I asked them to install it for me. I gave him the instructions from denny's guide and, right away, he could tell from the picture that the polarity was wrong (I had a new ipod battery). The guy claimed he had 12 years of experiance, and could tell that the polarity was wrong, so what gives?
He said the battery caused the HDD to move around abit, and as a result he had to reopen it to shift the battey's position. He said when I came to pick it up that everything works, all I need to do is charge it. I plugged in my official charger and press ON for a few seconds. NOTHING. Since I use rockbox, I tried pressing record+ON for a few seconds. NOTHING. Usually, when the h320 is dead and I plug it in and press ON, it'll instantly boot up the official firmware, not rockbox. So, am I screwed? I have the original battery. I'm going to go talk to him tommorrow. Any advice? |

Actually, now it works. I had to turn it back in. Turns out the guy did sometimes vastly wrong. Just got it back an hour ago, it's charging.
And yes, I did hit the reset button (before I got it re-fixed). |
