Are you talking about the standard leather case that comes in the package? If so, mine is already a clip case. However, I have heard a lot of complaints about brown leather/belt loop variations. Mine was included with a recently acquired H140, if that helps...

And, the Vaja cases that people are writing Vaja about making -- the i-volution cases -- have a hi-tech. belt clip arrangement as well.
You can write Vaja at info@vajacases.com or send them an email at their Contact Us page at their website vajacases.com, encouraging them to make the Vaja i-volution cases ... |

Mook-- That's exactly where I would look, bringing in my case and comparing and getting their help. That or another superstore-type place that sells inexpensive cellphone accessories (but I think RS will be more helpful). The only question I have is (not having an iHP-120 case) whether a connector put throught the belt loop would be enough to bear the player's weight and not droop.

Cheap belt-loop modification
A cheap way to add quick on/off capability to the standard leather case that comes with the IHP-120 is to put a caribiner (spring clip) through the case's belt loop. Then you can hook the easy-open caribiner through your pants' belt loop instead of running your belt through the closed loop on the leather case. This will let you unclip the case from your hip without having to take off your belt.
You can get a caribiner at any discount store for about a buck, usually in same section where you'd find jewelry, sunglasses and lanyards. I assume that better ones are also available at hardware and sporting-goods stores. |

Mook,
I took the leather encased metal belt clip off my Rio PMP500 case by removing the stitching. Took the clip and the H120 case to the local shoe repair place (industrial strength sewing machines). They removed the loop and sewed the clip on. Looks like it is OEM. Good luck. MLG |

I looked into doing the same recently when I got my H120. The best made clip is called The Clip (theclip.com) and they are located here in San Diego where I live. I had an extended conversation with the owner and he said all others aren't strong enough to bear that much weight for too long and will develop cracks before long; clips are designed for cell phones that are much lighter and smaller. The heavy duty model that he has doesn't ratchet which means the player would spin. Personally, I want one that will stay in the horizontal position like my cell phone so it doesn't jab while bending.
I had him send me a clip but when I put it up against my player in the case it stuck way too far out from my belt so I returned it. I noticed that this is Vaja does and if you look at their site (Vaja.com) you'll see what I mean. I'm waiting for the iminent release of the iSkin as this will solve the bulk problem. The iVolution system solves the ratchet problem too, but the only concern I have is how sturdy the iVolution clip is. On the iSkin site they state that the clip is not for sports use, but that can be a relative term...are we talking hockey or jogging? |

They probably mean jogging. I wouldnt trust a piece of plastic to hold my very expensive , and rather heavy, toy while it was bouncing.
