T60 might be on the way out
Hi,
I wanted to buy a second 4Gb T60 and whilst shopping found that lower capacity models (T60 1 and 2 Gb) were being substanially discounted. Unfortunately the store no longer sold the 4 Gb model. A few phones calls later and no walk in stores were selling them any more. Another store looked it up on their system and told me that they were no longer available from the distributor. So I ended up buying one from an online store that definitely still had some on hand. But the discounting and the advice that it is no longer available suggests that the model may have reached the end of it's official life - at least here in Australia. I was told by iriver that it would be around for at least 6 months, and they said that around May this year. I am glad in any case I have picked up a second one. I fear that we may never see another player that uses a replaceable supermarket alkaline battery, never mind one that supports Ogg. |
