Clix 2 8gb already available in Euope?
At http://www.irivernordic.com/ , they are showing that cool red detail in the clix' images, and at Clix page, they listing the player as a 4gb and an 8gb version.
![]() Does anyone know anything about this? Is this official? Can anyone read that? Does that mean anything at all? I appreciate your help, and it would be great if this is true (tough I don't believe it is), since I have some relateds in Norway. |

It's available to order from www.cdon.com and says it's expected in-stock today (Aug 22). It costs SEK 2369,- which amounts to around US$ 340,- (€242,-) plus shipping. Shipping is only available to Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

Indeed. And it's not actually listed as in-stock...
EDIT: http://www.mp3shop.se/iriver-clix2-8...roducts_id/376 - Says they have 1 in stock Most of the other e-tailers listed at www.irivernordic.com don't list iriver products at all. Looks like iriver products are getting increasingly harder to get in here in the north...

The price may be ridiculous for US standards, but maybe not for them. I mean, when I went there, I remember electronic-related things were quite expensive.
As an example, I could say the DS Lite, which in Best Buy, it is listed as 1500 NOK, which is like 250 USD. |

If you waited for the iriver store I'm pretty sure it'd be cheaper and they can ship where-ever.

Average full time wages in Norway are approx NOK 340.000,- (close to USD 58.000,-). A cheap full-spec'ed laptop (dual-core, 2 gig RAM, 160 gig HD, 3D, widescreen) costs from USD 1.000,-. Taking into account the low volumes for any product for sale (due to there only being 4.5 million of us, spread out over a relatively large geographical area) and high shipping costs it's not as bad for us as we like to pretend. Besides, NOK vs USD is at an all time high, the exchange rate being something like USD 1 = NOK 5,85. Only a year or two ago, the rate was more like 1:7. That said, the average cost of a pint of beer (down the pub) is around USD 9, much due to the taxation of alcohol. You have to be desperate and loaded to attempt importing the Clix from here

It was a logical and necessary response to this. Now, yes, it probably should be un-stickied but the thread itself still serves a purpose, as it now contains a discussion of different places the Clix2 can be bought from as well as cautionary advice regarding Warehouse123's attempts to rip people off. |

@Haans74
Thanks for the explanation, I may use that help. And, no, I don't plan on importing from there. However, Norway is "closer" to me than the US, and buying electronic-related stuff here in Brazil is unbearable. I go to Norway with a certain regularity, and my grandparents (they're Norwegians, by the way) also come here like every year; so it IS an option for me, and that's why I'm so curious. |
