On this mod, is this for a factory stereo with no rca connections.
This is for my company truck which has no tape or cd, no rca and I cant get the cheap boss to do a $100 stereo. I have seen some of the "aftermarket aux inputs" for $100, but I dont want to pay that. Especially since I gotta pay for a speeding ticket. |

There was a thread about this a year or two back, but to repeat, this thing is EXCELLENT.
It works much better than some of the other FM transmitters out there, so don't assume that they are all the same. My brother had tried one (I'm not sure if it was an iTrip) with his iPod and experienced quite a few problems in the Toronto area, but we tried my iRiver FMT and it worked perfectly. The iRiver FMT is notable for being quite powerful -- I found that the thing can sometimes overpower signals from FM stations! Though of course, you should ideally try to find an "unoccupied" frequency. As for audio quality, it is basically indistinguishable from what you would receive from a regular, clearly received FM radio station. I've found only two minor drawbacks with this device. First, the display can sometimes be a bit hard to read, depending upon where your cigarette lighter socket is. Secondly, this model doesn't have an attachment to provide power to MP3 players. iRiver did have a separate model specifically for Clix that _did_ supply power. |

No, just remove the radio, and plug the wires (which need to be made).

Not used the IRiver transmitter but I do have 3 others I bought off ebay for £1.99 (around $4.00 US) and they are terrific. Clear reception over 4 different wavelengths. Best couple of pounds I ever spent.
