Smile iriver P10

There's something on engadget about the iriver P10.
Can't do a news post or anything because I'm busy catching up on history coursework

Anyway, looks like a nice device. Widescreen PMP. Quite slim. Touchscreen?

I dare ask: Is it hard drive based or "flushed" based.

Looking for a HD PMP (80g+) that can access the web(using all features) and can read ebooks (MSReader and Mobipocket formats). Any suggestions?

I'm justing learning about RSS and may want the PMP to be able to access RSS feeds.

I basicly want a device that can hold my entire music library, browse the web using WiFi or my cell phone network, read books and news, and play videos.

I have 1400 ebooks in MSReader format. I maybe switching to Mobipocket when Amazon starts selling all there books in Mobipocket format.

Wink

I really dont think it would have HD, it is too thin. It looks more like 8, 16 gigs something like that.

I was looking at other sites and there's speculations of this having a 3in screen. which is kinda disappointing. I wonder how big the storage will be. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Heh.
Nevertheless , I'm still as enthusiatic about it as I was when I first heard about this player.
Mixing iriver's sound with simple design, good movie quality, SD (or something...), and e-book reading - it would be a must-have.

Go P10!

To answer your question rather more accurately, the P10 hasn't 'suddenly gone quiet', it's always been quiet.
Apart from a few teaser shots back in June, nothing has been heard about it since, with pretty much the only posts in this thread since then having been ones like yours, asking what's going on.

Smile Hope...

I hope this sleek unit makes it into poduction because my H10 20GB is getting old.

It looks the part but i hope it has more than 8GB storage in it.

I'd buy it launch day if it does come to Australia.

The 1.3" is the size of the hard drive, not the screen.

Great news. Though I have the Archos 504 and like it a lot, a widescreen media player from iRiver would definitely be better!!
