Unhappy No Clix2 in Australia :(
I have just emailed an iriver delegate about launch dates for clix2 in Australia and he told me that iriver Australia chose to launch the X20 INSTEAD of the clix2!

Yes, that is a disappointment. In seems, in terms of gadgets, Australia either gets them months after everyone else, or we don't get them at all!

True Jen, but we got the cowon d2 before the yanks did, hope its a sign of good things for the future. The pitfall on importing one yourself is the warranty.

@ saints: Is the Cowon D2 sold in any actual stores in Australia or just online stores? I have looked at JB Hi Fi and didn't see it there.

thanks to theiriverstore.com you should be able to get the clix2 shipped to Australia. Plus it should show up on ebay, which many ship worldwide on there.

minidisc.com.au has it but havent seen it in stores

*cries* My girlfriend and I are after new MP3 players... We first thought that the s10 would be for us... but once we saw the clix we were interested in that, but I new I had seen something about a clix2. So now that I have read that there is to be no clix2 here we have a delema on our hands....

Do we buy the clix 2g from JB for $150 (cheapest we have found it) or do we order a Clix2 from somewhere else? Does anyone know the shipping cost if we were to buy one from here and if there are any import taxes and the like? Plus if the extras of the Clix2 compared to the Clix are worth the extra amount?

@ MagooChris: Firstly welcome to misticriver, secondly I think that you should wait a while because www.minidisc.com.au might get the clix2 even though it isn't going to be available in Aussie stores as they have the Cowon D2 which currently also is not available here either. It might be worth sending them an email to see if they will get stock of the clix2

While thats good news you can see before you buy, that store is so overpriced, i saw an a2 20gb for over A$600, actually may go to see what they are selling the d2 for, I need a good laugh.

edit not too bad they want a$349, they are a$299 at minidisc, plus you have to pay delivery

Note about the X20. Although it has been released here I've only seen it in one store. And they've al sold out (with me the last one YESSS!)
