Speculation: RIP X5, Hellooooo X7...?

As posted on dapreview.net, it seems Cowon is finally laying the venerable X5 to rest after one hell of a run as a power-user's DAP. The speculation is they're going to do what iRiver SHOULDA done and develop the product line, possibly with an X7 (whatever that may turn out to be...).

A summer release but it wasn't demoed at any of the shows earlier in the year?

In that case, it's got to be either vapour or it's something pretty special.

Woohoo, now all of my DAPs are discontinued models. I haven't even had the X5 for all that long.

I'm curious to see what they do with their next player, assuming that they do indeed call it the X7.

The electronics stalls here in Korea all have the X5 on display, but none have them in stock.

I would like a good 80Gb that would support Rockbox.

I hope they get rid of the joystick, it definitely is the weakest point on an otherwise solid player. Not having to use an extra adapter just to charge it or use the line out would also be another plus.
