threeeyes
Last week, I sold threeeyes a pair of Shure e2c earphones for $70 shipped. He always kept me in the loop as re: payment, shipping preferences, delivery, etc.
One oddity: when threeeyes sent me the money order, he sent it in a card he originally bought for his girlfriend. On the front, the card read, "The two of us together..." Inside, the card read, "...that's all I want or need." Threeeyes explained in the card that he was using it in a pinch, but because my wife opened the envelope... while I was out of town... with her parents in the room... let's just say there was a lot of awkward confusion. All in all, it was a pleasure doing business with him. I would definitely do business with him again.

I only wanted to make a little jokey joke with the card and send the funds along in a greeting card which would be kinda inconspicuous...... I had a friend who was notorious for sending the most insane things in the mail (pre 9/11). For a few months we had a friendly argument about one dollar that I lent her to get into see the movies, and finally, she taped it inside an old shoe she found at the thrift store, then taped the right postage and my address onto the shoe and sent it along to me! And it worked! anyway, thanks for the kind words ME.....the headphones sound awesome

Glad you like the earphones. Sorry to razz you--I thought it was hilarious.
By the by, and not to threadjack (even though I'm the OP), your shoe story reminds me of a website I saw a while back where people sent some pretty outrageous crap in the mail. Check it out if you get a minute: http://www.directcreative.com/aaexperiments.html.
