Question Case for the PMP's?
Does anybody know of another case that might be a little more form fitting than the black one that comes with the player? I checked Vaja, but did not see any indication on their site of an upcoming case. It would be nice to find something a little more sleek than the included case.

Black one? they are blue unless my one has gone all weird. Checked th e american site and its blue and mines internation version and its also blue.

Play Through Cases???
It would be nice to have a good case for the PMP.. whats wrong with a play through case, like the iHP-1## series.?

Has creative, archos created good cases for their products?

1week to go till i get mine . I think i'll start recording a series of friends onto avi.

To my eyes the case that came with my PMP-120, bought at a Best Buy in the US, is black. Here are links to some pics of it, you can tell me if it looks the same as your case.

Hey.. it looks good.. cept for that brown crap on the outisde. (reminds me of my 140 case *shudders* )

Looks blackish brown to me sorta like leather.. but it could be the light though..

It feels like nice vinyl on the outside, the brownish looking stuff is the fabric where the zipper is attached all the way around.

Same design but not the crappy blue that mine is in and several american owners also have the same case as me. Argh Blacks so much nice looking. I want one with a belt loop and plastic window as its hard to get it in my pocket and I have to open it up to see whats on the screen.

Sorry Makaveli there is no other case for it at present, I am considering a small camera case as the actual supplied one is too small and fiddly to use if I need to change tracks etc. I am hoping for a new one to be available or at least expected by the end of the month along with a remote.

Crap !!!

How come that some PMP's are sold in the cool black case and most of us have to live with this g** blue one ?
Somewhat inconsistent product policy......

Im not so sure about it being G** as such but its a bit of a let down as it fails to match the player. I suspect that the blue one was decided too unhip for the american market, and they probably get charged for it, and the old ones shipped to europe where we end up getting them.

Could the blue ones be for the older players? The initial shipments and they just changed it to black cause people say blue sux?

When did u get ur pmp's and what colour case did you get? (all of u)

3 weeks ago this thursday, its brand new. and mines the crappier blue, remember the US owners seem to get less support so maybe this is iRivers pay back, no video on h300s and they get a worse cover for it maybe this is the same on the PMP.

i got my PiMP140 about 4 weeks, and dooooo --> blue case .
for next i want a second "battery", the *special* PiMP Remote (with LCD plz) and that kooool black case. yea, that would be lovely.

Is their actually an lcd remote for the PMP?! and does anyone know if iriver will actually end up selling spare batteries? (I would love to see what the lcd remote looks like : Attach LInk Here!)

I know they are yet to sell the batteries outside of the korea japan region, so soon hopefully (maybe a separate charger too), remotes are currently NON LCD type again unavailable at all (including Japan) except with a select few players for some reason. LCD remote there is no word on but I expect we will get a similar one to the 300s/100s remote designed for the PMP. Also tried another brand of remote it doesnt work at all not even the controls.

I bought my PMP last week after Christmas and it came with the black case. As for the batteries the iriveramerica.com website has them on their estore. I ordered a battery and the 12 volt adapter from their site.

man thats so unfair! we guys from europe get poopypoopypoopypoopy ed once more... i'm shure we have to wait about a half year until its possible to buy batteries and adapters or just only a black case. SOMEWHERE in Europe, of course. and im not very happy with a LCD-less Remote by the way.

I just ordered 2 batteries from iriveramerica.com and had them shipped to my dad's place in New York. He'll now fwd them on to me in Germany to avoid impurt duty. Best of all, they're only $19.99 making the pair a mere 30 Euros!

I wonder is there are any other German (resident) iRiver fans...

Also MY PiMP-140 IS HERE!!! It's at the post office.. and I've just got to do 2 things to get it.. I have $500 and now I need $275! So i'm going to have to try and persuade my sister into.. giving me it..! Omg.. I can't wait. I love C.O.D and mstation.

Now we can find out what colour case us ausies get I don't think I'll get the wired remote.. because.. i think i asked him and he said no..

So happy! Can't wait to watch LOTR 3 on it! (hope i don't get 2 many of those black squares.. they are freeking me out..) Omg.. I forgot to get a CF card reader.. have to get one from the shops soon!

I just picked up my PiMP! it came with the blue case.. which isnt bad.. but isnt good.. it didnt come with a controller.. which isnt bad isnt good.. and.. it looks awsome! which is great.. I'm using the little plastic thing for the screen protector for now..

should i upgrade firmware straight away? or wait.

I suggest using the old one for a few days to get used to it the new one adds features but firmware upgrades are a bit daunting so give yourself a chance to get used to the interface. Dont upgrade Media converter the new one just crashes all the time. I left the screen protector on mine also and will do until it falls off.

So.. its not more stable or anything.. Nothing important?

I was playing one of the sample videos that came with the PMP and.. it froze for some reason.. i had to shut down the player and back on.. was freaked out for a while..
i'm going to load my first video now! TROY xvid! (converted ofcourse)
