PMP120 - New battery or new player?

I've had my iRiver PMP120 for about 6 months, and suddenly it's gone out. The battery doesn't seem to be connecting with the actual player, so it pretty much won't charge.

I bought a replacement battery, but that went out as well!

I'm wondering if I should buy a whole new player or a new battery - assuming the last one was a dud?

Tough call, with the age of both items, it could be either item that is the problem.

If you are willing to risk another investment in a battery, go that route - it may end up being good money after bad though.

I'm fine with buying another battery, but where should I buy it? I don't want to get it on eBay, since that's where I bought the last one.

if you are in the UK the battery mill do batteries, google them and site will come up. personally, i'd send it back under warranty (though you are running out of time) if you bought if off ebay and it was new, under trading standards all electronic goods must be good for a year....so ebay or not ebay, they still gotta replace it/refund you.

I just bought a PMP from the online auction and it seemed that the battery is dead...it works with the charger adaptor. I did not get a manual to go with this so will need to find one online. I can't figure out how to get to the battery if that needs to be replaced...yep, newbie on this one....
