Faulty harddrive?
When I turn my PMP-140 on, it takes forever to get past the loading screen and it makes a strange clicking sound. Once it loads it won't let me play any files. It just makes the strange clicking sound. When I plug it into my computer it does't get detected, and on the occasion that it does, it doesn't let me get files off of it or anything.

The strange clicking sound you hear is a dead/dieing hardrive. You will need to replace it if you want to still use your pmp.
Note: It may be cheaper to get a new player. |
