PMP random generator?
Has anyone else found the random generator on the PMP is exceptionally poor?
it doesn't seem like a true random generator, and plays about the same 300 or so songs! i have about 10gb of music on there, but it is constantly going back to the same folders, and due to the 2 second load time for each song, i can only sit there pressing skip for so long, before it becomes very boring! i know nothing of programming, and don't want to try to fix this, 'cause i'll probably end up having it blow up in my hand! Has anyone done anything about this? Sorry if i'm asking questions that have already been answered ![]() |

The PMP's random function will only randomize the first 255 tracks in a playlist, as it was not coded to randomize any more. Also, it preforms a true mathematical random, not a "radio station" random that some other music players have.
The PMP was designed to play video first, so its ability to handle large amounts of audio is somewhat lacking. |
