PMP 140 boot failure. searched site no luck

I recently bought a PMP 140 off ebay. The player arrived with some music and movies on it. I'd bought one before so had the music manager program. I hooked it up to the computer(xp) and began copying and deleting files like I'd done before. Everything seemed fine. The new files appeared on the player after disconnected from computer then I turned it off.
When I turned it back on, Boot Failure appeared. I followed the instructions in manual but could not find firmware upgrades on iriver site so I tried formating on laptop (Me) because xp wouldn't allow it in FAT32. So now player is almost completely free space but boot failure still appears.
I've tried ShamrockMan's firmware version 2.03 download link and it appears on player when viewed from computer yet after repeated attempts of turning on and off I still get a boot failure. I've searched this site and saw swiss knife and boot web links but unsure if thats the next step. Can anyone help?

Anyone know where to get "iRivsys" folder?

I think I need this folder before I can download the firmware version 2.03 and fix my PMP.? I'm afraid I erased it though I don't see it in the bin. I found an older post about this but the link no longer works.

I think its working

Yeah... I had to go to the Taiwan page and manuver almost blindly but I found the download links and extracted the irivsys 2.04 version. Now everything seems good as new.

lol.. yeah i had to grab the sys files yesterday.. its very stupid that you can't find it on the international site. Took me a while and a lot of dead links, but i got it. and my pmp (although screenless) is up and running (ie, connecting to a TV).
