make files private?

hi, i just recently bought my 1st iriver, the pmp-120. i was wondering if there is anyway to make files or folders private. thanks.

I think the answer to the question is probably no, because you don't actually log onto the PMP - you are essentially logged in as root.

Why would you want private folders/files?

You can hide a folder/file on PMP by prefixing it with a . (period) but that way the folder/files are hidden from everyone including you. They are still accessible by connecting it to the computer though.

I created a folder called 'System'. Other people would normally not bother with that, unless they have PMP to know that it is a faux folder.

I keep all my biblical and religious movies in there, you know, the ones I don't want people to know I have.

Just don't tell my other half.
