Lightbulb would like to attempt to upgrade pmp

first, i couldn't post any new threads, so i editted an old one, so don't pay any mind to the 2 replies on here that seem unrelated.

now, what i would like to do is make this thing a bit faster. i've read about how to upgrade the hard drive, but i still want to upgrade the memory also. so my question to anyone experienced with the insides of the machine is this, is the memory removable and *possibly* upgradable? second, does anyone know what type of memory one would need to get? pin info, type, etc.? i'd like to do this is because everyone with a pmp knows the bad part to it is the lag times and also the inability to "brute force" fast forward when the file is too large.
