I downloaded and installed the Korean v2.0.4 firmware update, using your instructions. Very easy to do, and worked a treat! Thanks!
I also took my iRiver apart the other night, to see how hard it would be to replace the hard drive. Again, using your instructions, piece of cake! ...by the way, just what kind of connector is that on the hard drive? IDE or ZIF? It's funky lookin', whatever it is! I just want to make sure when I buy a new drive (60Gb), I get one that will plug-n-play. Suggestions? EDIT: Oh, yeah - what are the obstacles at this point for re-writing (or doing updates/bug-fixes) the software in the PMP? Long, long ago and far away, I used to be a programmer. Playing with an embedded system could be interesting. Last edited by musichound : June 19th, 2006 at 09:47 PM. Reason: Double posted when the EDIT function should have been used. |
