Dual platter hard drive in a 120
Right, can i put this hdd (http://www.span.com/catalog/product_...oducts_id=4228) in my pmp120, or will the crazy man police lock me up for even considering such a thing? I read this tutorial (http://www.argles.net/pmp_upgrade.php?action=dis) and it suggests i can.
If the pmp can't handle the dual platter, this one ( http://www.span.com/catalog/product_...oducts_id=4226) is the one i want? Cheers. |

Shamrockman,
Do you know if a 40 gig drive can fit into PMP - 120? (I know you just posted a 60 gig drive can fit, I'm a newbie, I can read so don't beat me up too bad) The reason I ask is because I have a 40 Gig, (2 platter drive I tinks) Toshiba drive from a H340 that I would like to use in the PMP - 120. The main board in the H340 is not recognizing the drive, but I know the drive is good because I can connect to it via usb, chkdsk and WinXp reported no bad sectors. Would you know if I can just connect it and viola!!! or would I have to format it? I've stopped by your site and noticed that you have all the firmware listed. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. |
