Question Pmp 140

Can anyone tell me what program I use to get my songs to my PMP 140? I tried using Windows Media Player but it didn't recognize my unit. Am I doing something wrong. I got songs on there awhile back but forgot what I used.

Yeah man, I just hook mine up and it's recognised as an external drive in 'my computer', from there you can just drag and drop. I wouldn't use media player for anything, but that's another story...

Maybe I need to download the information again because my pmp-140 does not come up when I connect to the computer. A message comes up that tells me I can get a better connection if I connect to the 2.0 slot but that's about it. So you guys don't use winamp or anything like that to get your music on the unit?

it should work on the 1.1 usb connection too. it will just be slower. it is just telling you that it would be faster if you connected it to a usb 2.0 connection. everyone uses windows explorer to put files on. that is one of the positives about the pmp. Just drag and drop.

Are you connecting it to the front or back ports? Try the back, there usually superior over the front. Now-a-days USB 2.0 is common but not un-common in older computers also.

i converted the videos using the iriverter (works great) but all the videos have really small dimensions (220 x 176) so it makes the 3.5 inch screen pointless. i have checked in the options of the program and i cant find anyway to change the size. does anyone know how to make the picture bigger

You have to change the device to the PMP-120 before converting the files. It's probably set for H300 by default. Under Options| Device| iRiver. (Not sure about 1.7 but 1.6 had a bug that wouldn't let it do 640x480 with multiple resolutions in one profile. I split it into 3 files which fixed that for 1.6.)

Press back '<', thats back, then it usually aligns itself with the visual....

For the dude earlier, there are still PC's that dont have USB2.0 transfer speeds. Some people need to do wit' 1.10 USB. Go figure.....?
