Low battery problem

I've had my pmp for about 3 months.
The battery seemed to work perfectly, until yesterday, and I could play for a few hours when is was fully charged.

But today, when I charged it, I noticed after about 10 hours the green led was still on... I tried to power on the pmp, and it displays "Low battery"... although it had been charging its battery for 10 hours !!
I pull out the battery, and test it with the tongue (yes, that's not a really good test but ...) and feel it is really quite alive yet.

Anyone has ever had this problem ? How can I solve it ?
I can't power on the player or play a video anymore with the battery although it seems fine :/

Try to charge it with the usb cable, maybe the 5v cable you are using is broken.

I also tried this... and it didn't work... the green led is on, but even after some hours of "charging", when I try to power on, the player displays "low battery".

When I power on while charging, and that I unplug the cable, I see the battery level is at very low.

So, it seems the software/hardware doesn't understand the battery is here ?

Anybody has ever had the same problem ?

the charger might be just powering the PMP and charging the battery for some reason. Thats my hunch but since i dont own a PMP i cant say much.

So,if it is powering the pmp and charging the battery, everything should be fine ... the sole problem is that the pmp doesn't seem to understand anymore that it has a fully charged battery that it should use :/ ...

I started having this issue within the last couple of days. I can't decide if it would be worth it to buy a new battery or just a new player altogether. I'm leaning more towards the latter...
Kind of depressed though...but it could be something that could be figured out later if there is a solution.
