PMP petition (please sign)

http://www.petitiononline.com/PMPGAMES/petition.html

please sign the petition to get games reinstated for the PMP series, this has gone on too long now and I decided as no one else did anything I should, this is the first major step, if we get them to do games then we know they can move forward in other problem areas. We need signatures, so if you have any other dap please sign the petition too as we need to sort this out, if the do this one for PMP users think what the possibilities are for the rest of the iRiver clan?

Regards
Mike

Thanks, support is what this needs, and I will send it to iRiver HQ when I get enough of them and see what happens.

That never was on the spec, many sites advertised it but was incorrect. However iRiver on their site advertised games but not ogg. So work on what we can and then move back to the other bits.

They are on a legal back breaker, they have to include it or its false advertising. Simple really, otherwise someone will take them to court.

Again not mentioned on the original tech specs on iriver.com etc so its not possible to work at that, once you get the ball rolling as they say, if we get this, then its a massive victory for all iRiver users.

While I understand you have a right to be upset that a feature was promised and never delivered, I really don't see why people are making such a big deal about the games. If you really want portable games that bad, pick up a GBA SP. With the newer portable game systems coming out you can probably get one for really cheap and even the worst of its extensive library of games is probably ten times better than anything you would ever see running on the PMP.

I bought my PMP primarily for video playback, and I'd much rather see them work on fixing the outstanding issues in that area before adding more features. I'm still running on 2.01 firmware because the newer versions introduced problems where it clips the bottom of the picture when playing widescreen files. I watch a lot of subtitled movies and TV shows and this bug clips the subtitles right off the screen, making the files unwatchable. 2.01 doesn't do this, but that version has its own problems that are fixed in the newer versions. Audio sync is also still not as good as it could be (though its tolerable)

8Bit games are the quality of retro gaming of the 80s thus my wanting them, if I wanted a PSP dont you think I would get one? I want a video player first then an audio player then a games player, its nifty and another thing to show off to ipodddderrsss.

For certain what they have done in europe breaks 3 laws at a minimum, so start on what we can guarantee they cant fight the law, it is in our favour, if we can do that we can certainly move on and get the other things we want, a victory like this is a big thing and means they are liable to crumble. Start with what we can guarantee.

I will hope I can get 1121 to help out so we can send a translated email to them to show how many support this.

Yeah, you must fight for guaranteed things, because they're guaranteed. I mean having games installed via firmware on the H320 is one thing, but on the PMP where it was guaranteed, that's another thing.

I plan that if we get them over this barrel we can surely work on other problems.

But with the H100s iRiver tried to fix gapless with the gap delete. I'm not saying they did a good job, but they attempted to give it.
