Unhappy Please help, PMP140 problem

Hi everyone, I have been reading these forums for a while and finally bought a PMP on the weekend. So far I love it. But I have come across a problem. I have successfully uploaded about 23gb of music files, and both the PMP and my PC
are saying I have 14gb free. However when I try to upload any music or videos now I get en error saying there is not enough free disk space on the PMP. Also says to delete some files to free up disk space. Is the memory used usually accurate? I am using WindowsME.

try emptying your reclycle bin when you connect the player. Windows creates a recycle bin on you player that stores your delete files and stuff. You can disable the recycle bin altogether on your player by right clicking it and changing the options.

The recycle bin is empty, and I still can't upload any more files. Both my player and my pc say there is 14.2 gigs remaining. I definetely haven't transferred any more than 23gigs, I checked. Its really frustrating, I haven't updated the firmware - might that help?
