Hence the well known equation:

W=VA
---------

I have a practical question regarding the H120 and watts, volts, mAh etc. The cost of electricity is my area is 6 cents per kwh. How much would it cost to charge up my iRiver if charging time is 3 hours ? The specs says the external adapter is 5.0 V, 2A. According to your formula W=VA, is it just a matter of multiplying 5.0*2 to get 10 watts. So is the cost .01 kw *3 hrs * 6 cents = 1.8 cents ? (which seems a bit low ??)
