QUESTION:
When I copy my audio/music files the the iHP-120, is it necessary to create folders and place the files in each according to my preference or will it do an automatic index, etc, etc and display them accordingly?

Thanks again
There are two methods available to you for browsing your music within rockbox.

1). Filetree
This is like browsing your folders/albums in windows explorer, create a master directory called "Music" on your player, (dont create this directory in .rockbox ), then drag and drop your music to your player, with whater file structure you want e.g.

MUSIC / Album - Artist

2). Database method.
When you initiate database scan, rockbox will scan the metadata (info in your tags) and then list the music as per ,

Album
Artist
Style
Type
Year

etc....

Please read the manual on how to customise the database to your liking.
