I have a 2GB T10. I like it for the recording, UMS, FM Radio (critical!), AA battery, sound quality. I wish it was gapless between tracks. Other than that, I have no complaints.

My perfect player would have the following:
- FM Radio
- Voice recording
- UMS (i.e., file transfer like to a flash drive)
- Replaceable battery (AA or AAA best, but even a proprietary swapable, like on a cell phone would be okay)
- Gapless playback
- Bookmarks for podcasts
- Replaygain (like the foobar2000 add-in)
- 80GB+
